Charles was born in Bloemfontein, South Africa where he started playing tennis at the age of 4. His father Andre du Toit was one of the most highly decorated and successful tennis coaches of his time. At its peak, his academy taught over a thousand students per week, and many of his students competed at top provincial and national levels. Charles competed at the top provincial level as a junior (U10, U12 and U14) in South Africa. He played nationals for all these categories and was one of the top doubles players (U14) in the country.
After moving to Canada in high school, Charles continued his success in tennis by becoming one of the top provincial players (U16 and U18) in BC. He was offered numerous tennis scholarships to study in the United States but instead, he decided to study Kinesiology at Trinity Western University in British Columbia. After university, Charles worked at respected tennis academies in the United States and South Africa. Prior to starting his own tennis school, he worked as the youngest Head Coach in BC at the Langley Tennis Center. Charles coaches his brother, Riaan du Toit, who is currently playing on the Pro Circuit. Charles enjoys teaching people of all ages and levels from Beginner to High Performance. He believes that students will improve and stay interested in tennis through a combination of learning and excitement.

Andre du Toit

Andre du Toit has been a tennis professional and director of tennis academies for over 30 years and has served on the Board of Examiners for tennis professionals in South Africa. Andre held a level 3 ITF Certification (International Tennis Federation Highest Level: (1978–2000). Andre had one of the largest and most successful tennis academies in South Africa for its time. His academy taught over 1200 students a week and he trained hundreds of tennis coaches throughout his career. Many of his players played at the top national and international levels. Prior to starting his academy, Andre lectured on Sports Biomechanics at the University of the Free State, South Africa and then worked as a Project Administrator for the Department of Sport, South Africa.

Riaan du Toit

Riaan was a top Provincial and National player as a junior before earning a scholarship to a Division I university in the United States. Riaan finished 4th in Canada in the under-18 Nationals and previously held an ITF junior ranking in the top 200 in the world. Following his time at university, Riaan decided to pursue tennis as a professional tennis player and now plays on the ITF Futures circuit.
